Aww my TREASURED ‘Awesome ‘ family is on the Bicycle built for Two blog today. Man alive have we gotten a lot of press from this wedding. Features in a few magazines and blogs, the public appears to not be able to get enough of this wedding. No one can blame the people as these two beautiful moms are THE BEST. Oh how we LOVED this wedding. The energy in the air was electric with love and joy. These two were meant to be together and everyone could feel the magic. They are a blended family and all about their kids. Fun fact, Kelly is a surrogate mother that not only carried her own 3 children, but carried 5 additional babies for other families. And shhh, keep it a secret but she carried Neil Patrick Harris’s TWINS ! One has to brag about Doogie when they can in life. My awesome friends Bryan from Music and More did the best job ever and my gal Jenifer from I make Beautiful did in fact make beautiful, and all at one of my favorite venues Scotts Seafood and the Westin. Please enjoy all of the joy.
I am coming out of the Dinosaur closet with this wedding to officially state my love of all things Dinos ! What was so funny to me when I did Ellie’s boudoir photos and I requested that she bring a few Dinosaurs as this was her theme, I actually had my own dinos ready in case she forgot. This wedding was a GEM and one of my favorites. Ellie and Spike ( Yes, SPIKE ! And Spike has a PHD ) were my dream couple. Kendra Pfeiffer from Pfeiffer Events assembled a dream team for this Fire House wedding. With my bestie Jenifer Haupt from I make Beauiful and my beloved Bryan from Music and More, this was the top of the Dinosaur charts ! Their theme was actually Jurassic Park and everyone dressed up to play the part. Usually we all wear black to try and blend into the background, but at this wedding I was wearing the bright yellow rain coat like The guy in the movie. The wedding was featured in the Real weddings magazine. I have been wanting to blog it forever and now seems to be the best time !
Yay for the blogging of Jen and Ken !! Right out of the gate just their names together are pretty cute. They had cuteness as well as many other attributes in spades. Their outdoor ceremony at Capital Park took my breath away when during the ceremony I looked at the back of my camera and saw a wide shot with our stunning capital in the background. As you can see getting those heartfelt expressions is my main passion at any wedding, and while editing this wedding I was giving 5 star rating after 5 star rating. Jen and Ken had the whole ‘officer of the law’ thing going as well as just a general peaceful easy feeling that made everyone relax and have the best time ever. After the ceremony it was over to the Historic Masonic Temple where we were treated to the good energy and D.J stylings of one Matt from Extreme Pro D.J’s. I could write a short novel about how much I LOVE Extreme Pro D.J’s ! And she was also smart enough to score Visual Impact as her florist. They nail it every time. Ahhhh less words and more photos right !
Weddings can be stressful for kids…
LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this wedding. The Citizen Hotel, and Music on the Move, and Claire and Garret ! So many good things going for Claire and Garret’s oh so happy wedding day ! They were pure sunshine and delight, and their peeps were uber cool. Just slipping this one at the last minute to give these wonderful folks and 2014 one last shout out. Heading into 2015 with bells on over here. Lets get it started !!!!
Heading back to my roots with this one ! The Retro Blogging of my first wedding of 2014 ! This wedding was just a gem ! Working with some of my favorite peeps like Diana from Simple Pleasures catering and Matt from Extreme ProD.J’s, and these two love birds Ann and Logan. These two were just as precious as humanly possible, so sweet and in love ! We were all over joyed with this sunny January Day at the Flower Farm, and dig those oranges right. A shout out to Ann’s friend and make-up artist Summer Brazell. And Fun Fact, Diana Burke from Simple Pleasures Catering actually did everything for this celebration ! The flowers and designs were all from the gift we call Diana Burke !
I am not much of a Christmas person but LOVE heading into a new year, for me it is a very important time to re-group and start anew. I find myself extremely thankful for my many blessing at the end of 2014, and being blessed to be a part of so many weddings is pretty high on my list of things to be thankful for. Life is good indeed. One more gratitude shout out for my treasured Second shooter Sarah ! You rock sister. Here is to a fabulous season in 2015 !
This wedding day sure was California dreaming on such a winters day ! The rain held out and the SUN CAME OUT and everyone’s dreams came true for this super cool Old Sugar Mill wedding. Alanna and David were just about the best couple you could ever work with in the universe. I was over the moon to photograph their unique colorful loosely based day of the dead themed wedding. The weather seemed super overcast and dreary as I approached the wedding venue, but alas the Sun busted a move and gave us the PERFECT delicious sunset light. I am so thankful and honored to have been a part of this oh so special day. The couples friends and family were amazing, the Old Sugar Mill is a photographers dream venue, and Alanna and David were THE BEST !!
Yeah, I REALLY want to take full credit for how awesome this wedding turned out, but truly there were many factors that contributed to the magic that was Heather and DJ’s wedding. Like my AMAZING and talented partner Sarah Torres who I adore and takes incredible photos to add to the mix. The Stunning setting and incredible sunsets at Serrano Country club with Jennifer at the wheel making everything flow with ease, our talented florist Dawn from Natural Flair Custom Floral Design and my oh so beloved one and only Matt from Extreme Productions. Also one of my favorite officiants Cindie Wilding did their ceremony like a boss and my pals at All Dolled Up made this beautiful bride even more beautiful. And of course This delightful couple ! Man alive did I LOVE Heather and D.J ! So fun loving, delightful and all around chill. Fabulous families and friends, incredible skies, jelly beans and kittens happening on the very very special day ! I could write a small novel about this wedding and how much I loved everything about it, but me thinks if you are looking at my blog it is because you want to see photos, so lets get to the good stuff below already.
Yes, we did put the rings on a page of War and Peace ?
Alas my beloved Sasa and Gabino are wed. They were positively the most darling couple to grace this earth. They booked me pretty far out and since then I fell so in love with these two. Their Grand Island Mansion was a BEAUTY. With Jackies Flowers making the event beautiful and Showtime Entertainment running the show, everything ran so smoothly. Fun fact, they run beauty pageants so these two were well organized. They had so many cute details and great friends, but truly the best part of any wedding is seeing the happy couple truly in love starting their new lives together. Life is good indeed !!
ALAS A BLOG POST ! YAY ! And what a beautiful and unique wedding to blog about. Tova and Don were able to strike a wonderful balance blending the Orthodox Jewish traditions with their Modern love needs. One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to experience so many different cultural events and this wedding was one of my favorites. Tova and Don really pulled off an amazing day incorporating many of the Jewish Traditions and still having it their way. I loved how casual and easy going this couple was, they were focused on the feelings and being in the moment. I am so thankful I was able to enjoy and capture this fabulous event. Here are a few things I LOVED about this wedding: The Crocker ! Come on, it does not get much better than The Crocker. Art and Beauty every where you look, and to add coolness to coolness, they got ready at the Citizen Hotel ! A visual feast of sorts. And of course add Kate Whelan Events ( A.K.A K-way ) to the mix and you are sure to have one well organized and beautiful event. On of my all time favorite florists, Shannon ( A.K.A Sha-nona Rider ) from Flourish worked her usual magic as you can see and LeiLani and her team ( A.K.A Lay-low and Stitch ) at Hello Glam sure glammed it up in the most perfect way as well as staring the day with some fun and lively energy. One MONDO thanks for one Wendy Hithe Photography (A.K.A The GINGER photographer ) for shooting with me on this wedding, yes…I brought in a ringer for this one. O.K no more words, only photos from here on out !
Awww ! So many awesome and adorable things about Steph and Nesh’s wedding where do I start ? First off they got married in my studio, well o.k not IN my studio but in the same building at Antiquite Maison Privee’ ( We nicknames it Tara ala Gone with the Wind ), my studio is upstairs so they were able to use my cool studio for photos ! We all LOVE our building ! It is the gem of Sacramento with endless great places to capture true love. The next awesome things is I photographed Steph’s sisters wedding 10 years ago, so it was so great seeing the family again. And then of course the fusion wedding aspect with all of the amazing colorful and interesting aspects that brings. Their day was so very perfect with Jackson Catering knocking it out of the ball park with the perfect fusion meal and my buddy Sean at Music and More working his magic to make the event truly memorable . I truly LOVED this wedding !
photos with heart and soul
