Awww ! So many awesome and adorable things about Steph and Nesh’s wedding where do I start ? First off they got married in my studio, well o.k not IN my studio but in the same building at Antiquite Maison Privee’ ( We nicknames it Tara ala Gone with the Wind ), my studio is upstairs so they were able to use my cool studio for photos ! We all LOVE our building ! It is the gem of Sacramento with endless great places to capture true love. The next awesome things is I photographed Steph’s sisters wedding 10 years ago, so it was so great seeing the family again. And then of course the fusion wedding aspect with all of the amazing colorful and interesting aspects that brings. Their day was so very perfect with Jackson Catering knocking it out of the ball park with the perfect fusion meal and my buddy Sean at Music and More working his magic to make the event truly memorable . I truly LOVED this wedding !
Talk about a great love story. Jessica and Doug have about the cutest love tale around. They met in…wait for it..5th grade. Their lives took them in many different directions, but for Jessica, who traveled a lot as a kid, Doug was always home ( ahhh I just got chills writing that ). These two are the real deal soul mates. When they interviewed me to be their photographer I wanted to book their wedding so hard. I must have played it cool, because I was honored to be a part of their most spectacular day.
Man live was the dream team in the house at this Wine and Roses ( a.k.a Guns and Roses ). Kendra Pfeiffer of Pfeiffer Event planning nailed this wedding, as did the very talented Audrey from Bontanica, superstar Bryan from Music and More, my girls Shana from Shana Beals Make-up Artistry and Tina Romo ( a.k.a Tina Romooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo )rocking the hair and make-up , and Corkie Matson as their heartfelt officiant. Love, joy, rainbows, bunnies and kittens all the way for the special day.
Fun Fact for the first photo, Jessica rented those super spendy earrings, and yes…I DID put them on a banana.
Yes we WERE a bit too goo goo ga ga for Karessa, but in our defense she was just the most amazing bride. She and Tyler had the most splendid day with friends and family celebrating their union. I was lucky to have my best-ie RACHELLE there with me and they were lucky to have such a great Dj, Bryan Greenwalt from Music and More and incredible Florist, Beautiful by Nature at their Le Rivage wedding ( like how I got that in in one run on sentence ). I can give this couple no higher praise, just perfect in every way. As usual I suspect one is not looking at my blog to hear me ramble on with little regard for any correct grammar , but to view some yummie and amazing photos. So….. I love all of the chaos in this shot.
Karessa was one of the most organized brides on earth ! Over kill on the brides photos ? YES : )
Super Rachelle shot !
And this is why photographers LOVE up lighting !
photos with heart and soul
