Oh what warm heartfelt thoughts come to me when I think of the marriage of Sara and Edward. This Salt of the earth couple kept it simple yet they had 250 people attend. Sara had such a great style and sweetness and Edward was just a gem throughout the entire day. This was my last wedding of 2012, it was held at the historic Pioneer Church and the lovely Hyatt Hotel in Sacramento. My treasured Katie from Ambience Floral did the flowers and Joe from SJ’s D.j provided the photo booth which was a HUGE hit ! We were so lucky to get some sun in the winter : )
I really enjoyed getting to know this couple and experiencing some of their Ukrainian customs. I am so thankful to have been a part of their big day.
That was just ONE of the many blog titles my boyfriend, Brad Haynes ( he loves to get a mention ) came up with for this Desiree and Mario’s wedding. ‘When you wish upon a star’ and ‘Cinderella…eat your heart out’ were a few of the other titles in the running. Are you getting the disney theme yet ?
Let me break down the absolute awesome-ness that was this wedding :
Des and Mario just ooze oggy googy love yummie love. They are positively soul mates, so very cute and happy. Mario is a special guy with star quality that it is hard not to fall in love with and Desiree is just about as nice a person as you can find. The world is a better place with these two in it.
The gorgious Whitney Oaks golf club on 10-10-10, their receiption ROCKED with music and lighting one of my all time favorites, Chris Terry from Encore Entertainment and photo booth, the best officiate everrrrr, Rev. Jeri Murphy made the ceremony so very special. I LOVE Miss Katie Edwards from Ambience Floral, she NEVER FAILS to do an awesome job. And man alive did Rebecca from Sweet Cakes knocked this one out of the park with their Disney Cake, it looked like some award winning cake you would see on a t.v show.
And the Super cute and talented Tiffany Torbick shooting with me. Just dreamy and perfect !
This moment will forever be in my memory, it was as if time stood still when Desiree walked down the isle. The look on her face was PRICELESS and of course the look on Mario’s face was gold. Yes, he DID do the ‘ulgy cry’. It was truly magcial !
I LOVE the look on Rev. Jeri Murphy’s face. I adore that woman, she is the BEST officiant in town.
There were like 15 photos of this moment I would like to post, but I had to pick one.
Yes….sadly I DID make them do the mickey mouse ears…
Desiree’s dad getting down on the dance floor.
And this is why photographers LOVE up-lighting
Fun Fact : This was NOT their car

LOVE STORIES are just the BEST right ? Who does NOT love a great love story ? I am blessed to hear love stories galore from my treasured brides and grooms. But often I get to see a different love story on the wedding day, like the love story of mother and daughter. Tamara lost her dad when she was a baby, so it was just her and her mom Jackie growing up. Seeing mother and daughter on this special day was just priceless.
Tamara and Eric were madly in love. Just look at this wedding and you will wish you were there to experience their joy. This couple lit up the world with their love.
They had a spectacular wedding day at Arden Hills Country Club. I LOVED all of Tamara’s bling and her purple flowers and shoes. Katie from Ambience did her usual EXCELLENT job with her flowers. Katie is the kind of person that makes this world a better place.
A fanciful wedding filled with pure love….Mama likes !!
This ring bearer is not so sure about all this going down the isle business.
One of my favorite things in the world…one single tear rolling down the cheek.
How can you look at this photos and NOT love Tamara ? Soooo cute !!
FUN FACT : Tamara is a ‘ do-good’ lawyer and Eric is from Kenya.
Sure, you did feel like you were going to meet your demise whilst traveling down the narrow twisty turney steep gravel and dirt road to Cirada Retreat, but once you got to the end it was as though you arrived in paradise. A lush riverside area that you just wanted to stay at for a week. The sights, smells and sounds instantly made you remember why you loved nature. Tage and Josh were the perfect couple and this retreat was the PERFECT venue for their big day.
Tage works for ALL SEASONS ALL REASONS so Josh, their main man head cook went a bit crazy with the menu. No joke, this was the best wedding meal known to man kind. I am still thinking about it as I write this post….YUMMMMMM !
Immediately on arriving one felt the ‘Tage and Josh’ love, their friends were so very attentive and focused on making this a special and memorial day. Everyone was ‘GLAMPING’ ( glamours camping ) for the weekend. So there was this amazing hippie celebration vibe in the air. One of my favorite florists in the world, Katie from Ambience did her usual beautiful job on the flowers.
I LOVED LOVED LOVED this wedding and LOVED LOVED LOVED this couple, both were people you want to know and be friends with forever. Sure I got 2 huge mosquito bites on my face that looked like mammoth zits…but I ALSO got these :
This was one of my favorite photos, mama likes.
I LOVE this photo of Tage, of course she had many nicknames…’OUT-TAGE-OUS being only one of them.
GREEN LUSH landscapes with a river running behind us ? HEAVEN !
And NOT the HEAT on Nicolle and Scott’s special day. The heat was brutal, but these two super stars did not let it spoil their special day. Their wedding at Lincoln Hills SUN City was a day to be remembered. Of course I ALWAYS LOVE Katie from Ambience Floral Designs work ( I am her biggest fan ), and Kami ( kam kam ) and Brandon from Sound Image are always a treat to work with. Through out the day Kami does so many extra nurturing things to make the day better, like when we all were about to die from heat exhaustion, Kami suddenly appears with a bounty of COLD water and snacks for everyone. Kami and Brandon make a great team, making any wedding a delight.
Scott was so very lovable and Nicolle, well her infectious laughter filled the day. She just beamed with joy. True love oh baby…TRUE LOVE :
My trademark ring in the berry….yes, sadly putting your ring into things is sort of my thing
This is one of my favorite shots from the day….sexy time for the beautiful bride.
Don’t be afraid to see your man before the ceremony gals, you get such great moments : )
Omg, I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PHOTO, such a ‘it’s hot’ statement.
O.k, how cute are the big beads of sweat on Scott’s face ? I love this !!!!!
One has to love the ‘mom look’.
The pay off from these hot summer days…wait for it…THE SUNSETS : )
photos with heart and soul
