Can we talk a bit about Rosie and Joe ? Their wedding was my ‘super bowl ‘ wedding to end all weddings. I was full on obsessed with this bride, from the moment we started talking it was just true love…oh back to Rosie and Joe…they were simply the BEST ! I loved how Rosie made everyone feel so comfortable and Joe was just a doll. Their wedding felt like a Kennedy wedding, I felt so privileged to be a part of this event. During their ceremony I had a moment of such joy wash over me, seeing these two take their vows in such a magnificent setting, it was spectacular. My beloved Aimee from 2Chic and The Find really outdid herself with the planning and design and our gal ‘Hatch ‘ From Bloomers nailed this one shut. It is always a pleasure to work with Classique Catering and their band, Hip Service , was fabulous. Dig her super cool Carolina Herrera Couture dress and bad ass Manolo B shoes ! And come on, we had so many stunning locations starting at the Citizen Hotel , then off to the ceremony at the Cathedral and ending at one of Sacramento treasures, The Memorial Auditorium , beauty and love galore, enjoy a glimpse :
Who does not like a good How I met your mother story ? Since I am in the business of shooting weddings I get to hear stories a plenty, but I especially enjoyed Ramie and kenneth’s how they met story. Here is my best recollection : During a fun filled night partying, Patrick was ever so slightly drunk and needed a ride so they wrote on his hand “need ride”, he was never able to shake the name and she was never able to shake the big crush on him from there on out. These two were one fun and super cool couple, I loved how their group of friends were so loyal and dedicated to them. Their wedding was at one of my all time favorite venues, The Vizcaya, so of course the wedding went off without a hitch. My friends at Visual Impact helped beautify the place with their gorgeous flowers and their d.j and Mr. Bart from Music to Memories rocked the house with his unique music stylings. Joy, true love, and happiness all around, see below for further illustration:
Fun Fact: In my youth I was on the fringe of being punk rock. More New Wave really, so I felt right at home with this group.
I love a backyard wedding I do I do ! And Mindy and Jerrad’s was one of the best ! These two were so very easy going and very much in LOVE. I was thrilled when they choose me to capture their big day. Their home off the Sacramento river was ideal for this late September wedding. Luckily they snagged Karen from An Impressive Event. That woman worked HARD to put everything together just right. Also they got an EXTREMELY awesome D.J with Kevin from Extreme pro D.J’s. I also truly enjoyed working with the X-Sight Video crew. They were so full of life and fun to be around. The setting was ideal, with the late September weather being very cooperative and the moonlight doing its part, the serious moonlight.
Mama likes !
This is one of my favorite guy walking photos everrrrrr !
Such a lovely evening under the stars and moon light with some market lighting to set the mood. YUMMIE !
I Did have a new attitude shooting Nweni and Chris’s extremely adorable wedding ! These two were absolutely the BEST ! I was MADLY in love with them from the go-get and instantly gave Nweni the nickname ‘NEW’. Their wedding had so many beautiful elements, starting wit them getting ready at the unique and uber urban boutique Citizen Hotel, and then having their ceremony at the very classic Cathedral. But wait, don’t order yet because then we were off to modern and snazzy Arden Hills where the one and only Fearon May Events had designed them the most gorgeous fall themed wedding reception. My friend Beautiful By Nature did such an amazing job with the flowers to make it all just perfect. And to top it all off My homie Chris from Encore D.j, lighting and Photo booths worked his special brand of magic so they basically had the best day everrrrrrrrr. My favorite part of this wedding was what Chris said to his new wife during their toast, how he would be sure to give her an amazing life as husband and wife ( and that rhymes, so even better ! ) So much beauty, fun and love, truly the whole package.
Time flies when a person neglects their beloved blog. Sorry, but now I am done with my bountiful fall of 2013 and have an abundance of wedding eye candy to tide you over for until spring of 2014. MAN ALIVE do I love this couple ! They were delightful in every way. Seriously , Lyndsey and Todd’s wedding touched my soul. About a year ago, she was the bridesmaid at another wedding and on that day she told me that when it was her turn I was her gal. Their wedding at Lake Natomas Inn had such an ease to it, everything was about as good as it gets. One of the best parts about this wedding was the group of friends Lyndsey and Todd had supporting them, just the coolest group of folks ever. And, it does not hurt that they keep referring me so I get to see them again and again. YAY ME !
I happen to personally LOVE her vendors, Shannon with Flourish designs, Rebecca and Hector with Sweet Cakes by Rebecca and Tom Fretwell with Fretty’s Limo and D.J service, they are all my peeps and did the best job ever !
Alas, a girl is blogging and then some:

Talk about a great love story. Jessica and Doug have about the cutest love tale around. They met in…wait for it..5th grade. Their lives took them in many different directions, but for Jessica, who traveled a lot as a kid, Doug was always home ( ahhh I just got chills writing that ). These two are the real deal soul mates. When they interviewed me to be their photographer I wanted to book their wedding so hard. I must have played it cool, because I was honored to be a part of their most spectacular day.
Man live was the dream team in the house at this Wine and Roses ( a.k.a Guns and Roses ). Kendra Pfeiffer of Pfeiffer Event planning nailed this wedding, as did the very talented Audrey from Bontanica, superstar Bryan from Music and More, my girls Shana from Shana Beals Make-up Artistry and Tina Romo ( a.k.a Tina Romooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo )rocking the hair and make-up , and Corkie Matson as their heartfelt officiant. Love, joy, rainbows, bunnies and kittens all the way for the special day.
Fun Fact for the first photo, Jessica rented those super spendy earrings, and yes…I DID put them on a banana.
Please get my ‘ Taladega nights ‘ reference and please fall as deeply in love with this couple as I did. Man alive could I go ON and ON about my love for Amber and Ryan. I felt such love for them through out the whole wedding process. Just the coolest folks you will ever meet. Their wedding at The Citizen Hotel was yummie in every way. With my treasured Dominic from Extreme Pro D.J’s and the amazing folks at the Citizen Hotel, this wedding was a slam dunk. The other members of her dream team were Sugar and Spice speciality desserts, Sparkle Bridal Couture and G.Rossi & Co. florists. Well done team !
I do want to rave more, but my need to post these photos is going to win out:
SWEET ! Hello FIRST WEDDING OF 2013. And I am here to report, it was stunning in every way.
First off, Kacee and Micah and I have a massive love thing going on, I am goo goo ga ga for them. Lets count all of marvelous things involved in this wedding one by one.
The wedding was held at the coolest place on earth, o.k, in Sacramento anyway, The Citizen hotel. Their flowers were so perfect for Kacee’s vision, I love Jackies flowers, she nails it every time. One of my ‘flava flav’ d.j’s, Dominic ( I won’t post his nickname as it is a bit racy ) from Extreme Pro D.J’s always brings his A game. And my beloved Rev. Jeri Murphy officated, I lurve her. Add in her fun friends and family and their kindness towards everyone involved and this wedding was exceptional. Since this is my first blog post in a bit, hold on, it is a long one ( who am I kidding, there are all pretty long ).
Great shot from my awesome second shooter, thanks Jammies !
Yummy shot of Kacee and her beautiful flowers, just perfection.
I LOVED her M.O.H, always good to have some strong women in the mix : )
Yeah, don’t ask…
Again, Go Jackies Flowers, NAILED IT SISTER.
Ceremony #1, did mention, this was a brillant idea !
And then onto the public ceremony, I LOVED this part, where Kacee is trying so hard not to cry. Again, hiring Rev. Jeri Murphy was a wise move, I love her energy.
This couple had the cutest decor, just darling !
And this is how they met, adorable right.
One of my all time favorite candids of all time.
Fun fact, Kacee and Micah had 2 ceremonies, the first was a combo ‘first look’ private ceremony on the balcony, and the second the traditional public ceremony. Brilliant idea ! I felt so very blessed to be in attendance of the private ceremony, it was pure magic !
photos with heart and soul
